Dr. Kline is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at High Point University. He serves as course director for Movement Science I and Prosthetics & Orthotics in HPU’s DPT program. Dr. Kline earned a BS in Health & Exercise Science from Furman University in 2010, a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from East Carolina University in 2013, and a PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences from the University of Kentucky in 2017. He joined HPU in 2020 after serving as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
Dr. Kline’s research agenda, previously supported by the National Institutes of Health and the Veterans Affairs Rehabilitation Research & Development Service, focuses on the evaluation of atypical movement patterns in patients with chronic musculoskeletal conditions and the identification of factors that contribute to these movement patterns. His professional service activities include serving as the Chair of Nominating Committee for the Biomechanics Special Interest Group of the American Physical Therapy Association, grant reviewer for the American Academy of Sports Physical Therapy and National Institutes of Health, and manuscript reviewer for multiple journals.
