Saint Mary's College
Sofie Stratton just recently graduated from Saint Mary's College with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology, and is planning on furthering her education by continuing her education at Saint Mary's to earn her Master's degree. During her undergraduate time at Saint Mary's, she participated in a research group with Dr. Karin Thomas, which focused on the topic of Intimate Partner Violence and its many implications in the field of healthcare. As a student researcher, her role was to focus on identifying basic terminology and background information regarding intimate partner violence as a whole, in order to be able to further develop an understanding on the topic as a whole. She thoroughly enjoyed the research experience, and is excited to further develop her research skills in graduate school.
