Emily Meise, MS OTR/L, CLT, CBIS, CSRS is a Level IIl Inpatient Occupational Therapist at
Gaylord Specialty Healthcare since 2012. Meise earned her Bachelor’s Degree in
Occupational Science and her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy both at
American International College. She has been an Occupational Therapist for 12 years
working in acute care, outpatient and long term acute care settings. Along with her
research studies, Emily has clinical expertise in the areas of Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury,
Spinal Cord Injury, and Medically Complex patient populations. She is a Certified Brain
Injury Specialist and a Certified Stroke Rehabilitation Specialist.
Emily has most recently served as a co-investigator for a research study investigating the
effectiveness of a balance perturbation system in the inpatient stroke population. Her
ongoing research study is in the area of visual field expansion interventions after acute
neurological injury.
