Brenna Phelps is a Research Scientist at the Center for Advanced Communications Policy (CACP). She started at the CACP as a student employee in 2020 while completing her BS in psychology at Kennesaw State University, followed by a transition into a Tech Temp position, and finally faculty status in early 2022. Throughout this time, she has worked with the Cognitive Empowerment Program (CEP), a joint venture between Georgia Tech and Emory University. As part of the Georgia Tech Home Technology team, Brenna has played a key role in furthering the CEP’s goal of empowering older adults diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment (MCI) and their care partners through the exploration of technologies aimed at providing support for aging-in-place.
