Lead Survivorship Nurse Practitioner

Heather Augustyniak, DNP, APRN-C, has spent more than a decade caring for patients with cancer as a lead oncology survivorship provider for women with breast and gynecologic cancers. She currently is the Lead Survivorship Nurse Practitioner for the Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida. She has developed, implemented, and oversees a successful comprehensive survivorship program across the oncology service line that provides expert medical, psychosocial, and educational services to all cancer survivors in diverse communities and across systems of care. She also led the development of an Oncology Women’s Sexual Health Clinic within the L.I.F.E. Survivorship Program. Heather’s philosophy of care is to engage and work with the patient and their family to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses the unique issues they are facing as cancer survivors and improve overall health outcomes and quality of life.
