Danya Pradeep Kumar is a postdoctoral research associate in the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Science department in the School of Health Professions at the University of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC). Her research focuses on the accurate measurement of biosignals in health and disease. Her PhD research focused on frailty assessment in community dwelling older adults based on an accelerometer sensor acquired daily physical activity, with an emphasis on daily walking and physical activity variability.
As a postdoctoral fellow at KUMC, Danya has been working on frailty in individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS), FES device validation for foot-drop in pwMS, examining actual and perceived fall-risk in pwMS, in addition to other projects focusing on mobility deficits pwMS.
