Sarah dos Anjos, OTD, MSc, PhD, is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Occupational Therapy at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and has taught in the entry-level Doctor in Occupational Therapy, the Post-Professional Doctor in Occupational Therapy, and the PhD in Rehabilitation Science. Dr. dos Anjos earned her BS in Occupational Therapy in Brazil, her Master`s in Neurology from Medicine School of the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, her PhD in Rehabilitation Science, a post-professional OTD and a Graduate Certificate in Low Vision Rehabilitation from UAB. She has 18 years of clinical experience in rehabilitation of adults with neurological conditions, especially brain injury. Her research interest includes stroke rehabilitation, specifically strategies to induce long-term retention of motor changes observed after training, and Constraint-induced Movement Therapy. She serves as a volunteer for the World Federation of Occupational Therapists (WOTF) as a Program Reviewer, is the Career Development Liaison and a member of the Movement Interventions Task Force in the Stroke-ISIG of ACRM.
