Haley Davis is a first-year student in the Counseling Psychology doctoral program at the University of Georgia. She earned her M.Ed. in Professional Counseling from the University of Georgia in 2023 where she interned at the University of Georgia’s Center for Counseling and Personal Evaluation. During her time as a master’s student, she conducted individual and group therapy and also served as the President of the Mental Health Counseling Student Association. As a doctoral student, Haley has both a clinical specialty and research interest in persons with disabilities. Specifically, she plans to utilize her research to emphasize the need for master and doctoral level counseling and psychology programs to include training centered on working with persons with disabilities. As a clinician, Haley utilizes an integration of person-centered, multicultural, and disability-affirmative therapies to implement techniques specific to her population of interest with the goal of adding to the literature surrounding best practices for working with persons with disabilities in a clinical setting.
