Angela Benfield, PhD OTR/L is an assistant professor at UT Health San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Benfield has over twenty-three years of clinical experience with pediatric occupational therapist. Research interests are understanding and supporting the development of adaptive expertise in clinicians, clinical reasoning, EBP and outcome measurement in the clinical setting. I developed the preliminary measure of evidence-informed professional thinking (EIPT) which can differentiate 4 levels of competency. My other research interests include developing measures which can support continued professional development such as EBP skills and knowledge, habits of critical analysis of practice, and others.
